It is amusing. The concept that used to sound beautifully and pathosly long ago now is vulgar and simple. In old times we used to seize, possess, now we simply have* each other. Earlier we were given completely to our beloved, and now we give* and we take away back.
It's possible to say that recourse is the form of the progress too, degradation - a step of the evolution but are you ready to become a tape-worm or at least thoughtless cattle? Also do not say that in having each other you become noble as tigers, smart as predators...At the best you advance to monkeys.

Как забавно то, что раньше звучало красиво и пафосно, нынче вульгарно и просто. Раньше можно было овладеть, овладевать, обладать, теперь же мы просто имеем друг друга. Раньше мы отдавались без конца, без начала, а нынче даём и забираем обратно.
Пусть регресс - тоже форма прогресса, деградация - шаг эволюции, но разве вы готовы вновь стать ленточным червём или хотя бы бездумной скотиной?
И не говорите, что имея - становитесь хищными и благородными тиграми... в лучшем случае вы движетесь в сторону обезьян.
